Highly Clear Double-faced Tape
HSV/SSV series
These series are highly transparent tapes, whose structure consists only of adhesive layers and no base material.High-performance acrylic adhesives are used in the adhesive layers, making it possible for each of the series to demonstrate its own characteristics.
Features
■HSV series
- Hard to form air bubbles when attached to various kinds of adherends such as resin plates, glass and metal. especially at the time when exposed to heat or humidity.
- Hard to fog up when attached to high water vapor permeable adherends such as resin plates, especially at the time when exposed to heat or humidity.
- UV irradiation is not needed after the tape is bonded to an adherend.
- High optical properties when used in objects which need long-term reliability.
■SSV series
- Great flexibility and less display unevevess("MURA") on the lighting LCD. Suitable for use in direct bonding techniques.
- The tapes' adhesive layer has a thichness of 175μm, making it possible to fill a gap of over 25μm.
- UV radiation is not needed after the tape is bonded to an adherend.
- High optical properties when used in objects which need long-term reliability.

Test condition
■Test sample: An 8-inch plastic cover panel and a sheet of glass which were bonded together with the test tape.
The plastic cover panel consists of a single-layered polycarbonate.
Tape thickness :175μm
■The appearance of the test sample was checked after the sample was placed at a temperature of 85℃ and at a humidity of 85% for 1000 hours.
-

Composition: Mitsubishi Gas Chemical-made PC plate, MR58/ Tape/ITO film of 125μm
Test conditions: HAZE was measured at a temperature of 85℃ and a humidity of 85% three times - immediately, 4 hours and 120 hours after the removal-.
-
■As for a conventional tape, the HAZE rate was measured after it was taken out of the oven heated to 85℃ at a humidity of 85%. The test results show that the HAZE rate of the tape increased with time, which means it easily fogs up. (The HAZE rate was highest 4 hours after the tape was taken out of the oven.)
■As for HSV01, the HAZE rate remained below 1% four hours after it was taken out of the oven, which means it does not fog up.

Test condition
■Test sample: An 8-inch cover glass and a LCD which were bonded together with the test tape.
Tape thickness :175μm
■The test sample was placed in a 60-degree oven for 1 hour.
■After that, it was taken out of the oven, and then put on a lighted LCD device to check if there was any MURA.
